For the "here is better than anywhere" exhibition opening at Rosalux Jan. 9, 2009

Continuing ideas from work developed in 2008, this series offers methods towards but not confirmed resolve for her subjects. The new drawings are a response to the digital video environments placed in near proximity within the gallery space.   Digital video projects have been captured through weekly, sometimes daily documentation, from local sources, gathered throughout the last year.  The distortion that occurs with personal accounts reviewed through both media to create a narrative.  In an analysis of everyday surroundings, the title phrase "here is better than anywhere" is considered through the solutions (both real and imagined) presented in this grouping of art works.

a beginning

I have been trying to design a website for my art practice for over three years.  I still think I need to try to set this up but I finally figured out why this has been so difficult. It is because I have so many new projects, exhibitions and art works that it is impossible to keep up with everything I am working on using just a website. So I am hoping that here I will post something everyday.  This will give the reader an idea of what I am up to and also create an archive for myself of all the different ideas, exhibitions, collaborations and projects I am working on.
